....but then again I've been weening anime for a
while recently. Though, I'm sure you know that
I would say ANY ENGLISH DUB is bad. I will rat
on any and all dubs for as long as people refuse
to act more realistically and as well as those
in the originals put their hearts and souls into
what they do. They MAKE you believe that the
characters are real...whereas the English
ones... they're simply reading black words on a
white piece of paper. Though, some dubs are
better than others, I still would never trade an
original Japanese audio anime or game for a
piece of crap English dub, of any quality.
But besides that, one HORRIBLE anime comes to
mind, and I only watched it because it had the
same "theme" as an RPG that I enjoyed:
Suikoden: Demon Century (I believe that's the
subtitle for it). It's been AGES since I've
seen this, but I just remember feeling ill
watching it. Avoid this one at all costs. (I
watched the subtitled one, too... so it's the
story that's bad...) Those of you who are
familiar with the basic story in the Suikoden
games, there are a total of 108 stars of destiny
that are supposed to gather to save the
country/world or whatever... I really wondered
how they could use the same myth or whatever for
an anime movie.... and it's easy to say
that...they really didn't. haha I think they
did meantion the Stars of Destiny thing, but...
only 6 or so of them appear......... So go
figure. The crossdressing chara was the only
comic relief in the whole thing. |
