I watched the movie (which has some of the most 
beautiful animation I've seen), then sat back and 
thought: "Huh?"

The problem was mostly solved in a seven or eight 
page e-mail from an X fan who had read the manga 
(which I think hadn't been released stateside, or 
had only *just* been released). I still haven't 
read it for myself yet, although I want to, but I 
can already tell it's definitely a case of trying 
to cram too much into too little time.

Like with the Psychic Force OVA and the games, 
the same goes for X and it's manga -- if you 
already know the manga, chances are good you'll 
like the movie. . . Otherwise. . . o_0;
