I have read a few things in this thread that make
me think I am just strange...
In several posts it has been said that you
don't get into financial trouble buying cels...
well I do... sorta ... I have on more than one
occasion OVERSPENT. I am lucky in the respect
that I have a husband and a credit card ~,^.
Another "odd" thing about me is "knowing the
price I paid".. I don't keep track for the most
part. I really don't know or rather remember how
much I paid for most of my cels. There are a few
that I paid over $200 for I do tend to remember
that much.
On the original question "Are you a high-end
collector?"...
Well I don't think so. Most of my cels were
under $200.
On the resell question, I do (most of the time)
think about that when I'm buying a cel...but only
in the sense of do I think it is worth the price.
I guess if I intended to get back the money I put
in or make a profit I would keep track of the
cost of my individual cels.
....."Does spending a large sum of money make you
think
twice about buying a cel (because there is a
chance you won't recoup the cost), ?"....
For this I would have to say NO. On the
few "high-end" cels I own I was willing to
pay "whatever" becaue I wanted them that bad! If
I pay a high price for a cel I have no intention
of selling it!
