I have quite a few expensive cels from 
Bebop/Utena/VH:D & Evangelion all several hundred 
dollars each.
My spreadsheet is telling me the average cost of 
my cels is $227.50. 
If I had to mark a few of these to market I would 
say that for example the Tenchi cels would fetch  
a lower price.

However, I am very happy with the cheaper cels I 
have from other series such as Rayearth, CCS 
(well most of them) etc which did not cost the 
earth. I think the simple explanation is that 
cels from some series just are not that 
expensive. And then there are "silly prices" for 
some FY characters who will continued to be un-
named cause I have some cels of them too....

You can be certain that these prices are a 
function of a "few deep pockets". Which is the 
entire extent of the market. But thats all you 
really need. 2 buyers with deep pockets can 
create a price bubble. 

For example if I want a cel of Juri from Utena 
for example and so do you and we are prepared to 
pay $500.00 - when its listed on YJ or Ebay it 
does not matter what anyone else thinks or is 
prepared to pay (unless its more). The 
determining factor is who flinches and 
says. "Ouch!"

As always. If you are happy with the price. What 
anyone else is prepared to pay - WHO CARES......
If you are not happy with the cel and paid a 
boatload - then you have a problem...
