Well, that's what you "think". That's not the law.
Big differance....  You don't need to have created 
it yourself to get ownership of it.

In fact, in some country, if you take a picture of 
the room with the painting on it, you could be 
attacked. Not just for the painting, but for the 
room ! (and I am not joking : it's a real pain for 
professional photographer)
