As usual, you've *completely* missed the point.
The original poster indicated that he was
uncomfortable by seeing a copy of a cel he just
bought. That is an emotional response to a
situation. I said that I would be pissed to see a
copy of a cel of mine for sale. That is *also* an
emotional response. Once I own a cel, I do not
want it to be reproduced. *If* someone came and
asked my permission to reproduce one of my cels,
I would ask them NOT to do so. Legally, I can't
stop them from doing so -- as Yann pointed out,
only the copyright holders are allowed to do
that -- however, that will not stop me from
feeling the way I feel about the subject. Thus,
anyone knowingly making fancels of cels that I
own knows they'll NOT be warmly received by me
when we meet.
I made no argument on the legality of anything. I
look at it as an issue of having *respect* for
and towards the feelings of fellow collectors,
even if you don't agree with them. Maybe think of
it this way: It's such an easy thing NOT to do,
and NOT doing it will make some people happier,
so what reason is there *to* do it which is so
important that it's worth making people mad?
However, I don't know why I bother to try and
explain something like this to you. I'm sure that
idea will roll right off your skull without ever
penetrating because you've already repeatedly
proven yourself incapable of thinking of anything
or anyone but yourself and your own desires.
So give up the search your dreamcels in favor of
fakes in their place. Me, I'd rather keep working
on hunting the big game of the real thing instead
of pretending to myself that some rodent I caught
in my backyard is big game.
And don't bother replying to my post again. I
won't be wasting more of my time responding to
your whines.
Many Sharp Smiles,
