One of the things that absolutely drive me nuts 
about "taking offers" is when someone says "I'm 
taking offers on my WHOLE collection" only to 
find out they mean their whole collection... 
EXCEPT the one you inquire about!

I once offered $100 on this cel (plus one of my 
higher end cels) in someone's collection who 
was "taking offers on everything". They replied 
with a "Yes, but I'd like to keep this series if 
possible." and was ultimately refused.

About a month later, I was searching eBay, when 
lo and behold... THE cel. (y'know, the one I 
offered on). I decided to sniper bid at the last 
second. I didn't even need to. I was the only 
one who bid on it. I got it for $100. 

On the other hand, I absolutely ADORE that cel 
and will probably have a hard time parting with 
it.... AND I get to keep my other cel (that I 
had originally offered). Although, you're right. 
I do wish they had emailed me to let me know it 
was going up on eBay or even emailed me back to 
ask if I was still interested. It probably 
would've been better for the seller if they had.
