"(Some sellers have given starting prices, then
rejected my offer at that price, then sold the cel
later on eBay for that price or less.)"
I RARELY sell cels, so this is foreign to me. But
I see it happen a lot. Can anyone explain this
insanity to me?
In fact, I have a friend who is fond of making
offers on cels. More power to you if you know
exactly what you want and what you want to pay.
But when this person is rejected, I'll often hear
a story months later about how the owner
ultimately decided to sell the cel on Ebay or to
another buyer for LESS!!! And in the case of an
Ebay auction, they didn't even bother to send a
courtesy "heads up" e-mail to this decidedly
interested buyer. How stupid is that? Heck, not
only is is dumb, but it's downright rude in my
book. If somebody took the time to politely
e-mail me about their interest in a cel of mine,
I've made sure to notify them if it goes to Ebay.
Ah, well. If any of us were truly sane and
practical, would we even BE here discussing this?
:-P
