Actually that Rick guy does have the legal
authority to collect suspected stolen cels. It
sounds stupid I know, but the law states that he
can, particulary if the copyrights holders still
have their share of the franchise. This doesn't
aply to older anime...say from 17 years ago, like
the VHD OVA, because the thing is so old and
outdated the copywrights would of expired becuae
the compnay that distribuited it on VHS/LD does
no longer whole sale copies. For something as old
as a 1985 anime, it would take them forever to
track down what they claim is stolen. But with
something as recent as teh VHD movie, they hold
the rights, and are therefore in a position to do
as they please if someone possess a stolen cel,
even if that person is unaware of it. And theres
pretty much nothing you can do about it. I do
agree that Anime Link is selling their cels for
considerably stupid prices, as Central park Media
did with their Urotsukidoji cels, bceause they
were the only chumps to have the largest
selection of the things. My advice is take your
scans off teh net until the whole controversy
over this has died down. By keeping your scans
online, your just attracting their attention more.
