Ok,

I know a lot of people get all pissy about fanart
and fancels but I for one love it and collect it.

I see nothing wrong with it, and I'm sorry if
that bothers anyone, but to each his own.

I'm a big collector of fanwork in general,
whether it be fanart, fancels, figurines, if it's
good if it cathces my eye I Buy It!!! Why???
Because I like it, simple as that and personally
I don't think it's anybodies business to tell me
whether I should or shouldn't be buying it. I
know what I'm purchasing, I was'nt forced into
buying anything I didn't want to so I'm sorry but
I really don't understand why some people think
they have the right to harass people like me for
wanting to buy fanwork. It's bad enough these
lowlifes have some grudge against fanartists but
when they start to harasse collectors that's
really crossing the line. It's rude, abnoxious
and only makes them look like a lowlifes that
they are, not the seller/artist themselves.

I see nothing wrong with fancels infact I'm
gratefull forthem, lord knows I don't have 5
grand to spend on a hanken cel, but hey I'd shell
out a $100 in a heartbeat for a fancel painter to
reproduce it for me. I'm gratefull for those
people with talent who are willing to put forth
the effort and create a fanwork for me at a
fraction of a cost.

I have a ton of production cels in my collection
but some of those cels are priced so ridiculously
that no average person would be able to afford.
Yes if I was making 100 grand or so I'd be all
over buying production cels, but I don't. So
once again I'm very thankfull for those artists
who make cel collecting affordable and enjoyable
for me. And I hate little "know it all" pricks
who stick their nose where it doesn't belong.

And personally Yann, I don't know how you of all
people can sit here and talk about copyright laws
and what not, when you yourself sell fanwork. And
at ridiculous prices might I add. The fanwork on
your site is more expensive than an average cel.
Which is totally ridiculous cause some of it
really sucks(no offense). I know this is your
forum and your site but selling fanwork yourself,
I really don't see how you of all people can
judge fanartists. I mean most fancel/art artists
charge $20 to $50 on average depending on the
size and the detail in the particular piece they
sell and you have fanwork for like $500 bucks on
sale on your site. Now that's ridiculous. A
little overpriced for something that you deem to
be "illegal" Don't you think???
