If all is as you've described above, then I 
really don't understand what's going on in the 
seller's head.  Strange.

And you're a much nicer person than I for trying 
not to reveal much about "him."  I personally 
would throw a nice fat public hissyfit after 
going through as many attempts to solve things 
nicely as you have.

An honest mistake I could understand (as someone 
else mentioned, _maybe_ he got the packages 
confused).  But geez... a four-figure package 
confused seems a bit far-fetched...
