There's nothing wrong with saying, "This is what
I want, don't change anything!" It's much easier
to do it that way, because both people have the
same idea of what the finished image is supposed
to look like. If someone's going to commission an
artist, it's their call what they want to see.
More often than not, though, what they want to
see usually happens to be a moment that occurred
somewhere in production, rather than a moment
built totally from scratch. And the ones who do
request images-from-scratch have usually worked
with a fancel painter before... and have already
requested a few "Copy these" and are ready to
move on to something different. ;o) |
