...it could be WAY worse.

The company that almost bought the rights to 
sailor moon in the US was planning on doing a 
live action/animation spliced thingy where sailor 
moon rode a giant crescent moon into battle and 
one of the girls (I forget which) was in a 
wheelchair... anyhoo, total power rangers.  TOTAL 
power rangers.  I think power rangers might have 
actually been that company's production after 
they didn't get sailor moon actually, but you 
should be able to find some articles about that 
still floating around the web.
