Well, the reason I dont like snipers is because 
in a real auction, the item is supposed to go to 
who is willing to pay the highest price, not to 
whoever has the best "strategy".  In the case of 
Ebay, the item might go to whoever is sitting in 
front of a machine 20 seconds before the items 
ends, and manages to dollar by dollar squeak a 
win by 25 cents.  That's why I dont like it.  I 
know, I know, if you want it that bad, then enter 
a higher max and no one will be able to snipe 
you.  But still, it all depends on the clock on 
Ebay, not who's willing to pay the highest price, 
which is how a real auction, to my knowledge is 
supposed to/should be won.  I think strategy is 
something to use in gameplaying, but in auctions 
it makes very little sense to me.  BTW, this is 
not intended as a personal attack. It doesnt 
bother me really, I dont have a whole lot of time 
to watch items on Ebay anymore.  I just know a 
certain couple people who I do keep tabs on who 
constantly up bids and never win.  I dont like 
snipers, but some of my good friends are snipers, 
so more power to them.  I just dont like to bid 
that way.
