I want to put ONE bid in and be done with it. As
long as the other bidders have placed their max
bids, then all is fair and good. If I bid too
early, I end up with people who keep rationalizing
their own bids higher and higher. Feh.
But I honestly can't complain about people who put
lots of little bids in (which you can clearly see
when the auction ends, by looking at the bid
history). That's the way a "real" auction works,
which is what Ebay originally set out to do.
Everybody creeps their individual bids up by the
smallest amount until all but one person gives up.
