... posting a public "BACK OFF" to all other
bidders on a certain auction because come
hell or high water they are NOT getting a
certain cel?
I hardly EVER bid on Ebay for obvious
reasons, so when I do, I mean business. It
never ceases to amaze me how people will
bid on something like X or XX times JUST to
see if they can beat your max by like, a dollar.
:P
It's just NOT going to happen, and it irritates
me that people sit around driving themselves
nuts and jacking prices up thinking they
MIGHT just win, yanno? If you're going to beat
me, why not beat me square and put your
money where your mouth is? It's not like Ebay
is going to automatically charge your max
amount. You'll beat me by a dollar even if you
overbid me by a hundred. ::shrugs::
Sorry for the rant—I know people are allowed
to bid however they please, but truthfully, if
someone beat me out fair and square in one
or two big bids, I would feel sad at losing a
cel, but not really hold anything against
them—they obviously had more cash at the
time than I did. But step-bidding smacks of
somebody who is just rationalizing that they
could afford the cel if only it were JUST a
dollar more expensive. Plus, it's annoying and
creates tension like I'm feeling today. I'm really
a very nice person and I don't want to feel
badly towards ANYONE! :P
Anybody out there ever feel like this? I feel
sheepish just posting this message, but I'm
honestly curious.
Thanks!
