Oh man, Im so there with you. There are a few
people I can think of (who frequent this board
actually) who constantly bid on items on Ebay,
and they have little or no intention of really
buying the item. This isnt just with cels
either, and not only people in this community.
But, I can think of many instances off the top of
my head when I see certain people go bid on
things and routinely jack up the price..and they
NEVER win the items. It's almost as if they just
do it to create the false market. Im also not a
fan of bidding on things just to bother other
bidders, or make them pay more (sorry Yann).
It's just plain not nice. When I see an item on
Ebay that I really want, and I mean really want
it, it's not just an impulse buy, I enter my
ultimate max right on the spot. Sometimes, if I
want it bad enough, and I get outbid, I will
enter a higher amt later. I also dont like it
when people snipe (sorry Japester). I had a very
bad experience with it so Im tainted. When
someone snipes your dreamcel that you've been
watching for a week by a mere dollar, I dont call
that very nice. Yes technically they win, but
being the stubborn ass that I am I dont think
it's a -real- win. This is what taught me to
enter my max right on the spot, and not to wait
til the last moment.

Anyways, back to the topic, I know what you're
talking about, and you're not alone. There's a
few people who I wish I could drive to their
houses and ask them "Why do you bid on this stuff
when you're not even going to win
it!!!! :SMACK:" I guess it's all part of the
game. It's a good thing Im not too into Ebay
right now...I hate the stress.
