Hmm.  Well, I'm a biology postdoc, I live in Southern
California, and I'm 28.  Sadly, I only discovered anime 5 or
6 years ago when I first saw Totoro (my favorite movie of
all time), but I've been a fan ever since.  I've been 
collecting cels for about half that time.

I got started in cel collecting after picking up one of
AnimEigo's free random YYH cels.  That caused me to think,
"hmm, my husband really likes Madoka from KOR...it would be
so cool if I could find a cel of her to give him for
Christmas".  I found two, and the rest was history.

My favorite shows to collect from are Rurouni Kenshin,
Shoujo Kakumei Utena (you can guess my favorite character
from my email address), and CLAMP Campus Detectives, a
show I love even if it sometimes seems no one else does (got 
to get the rest of my CCD cels up in my gallery one of these 
days so people can continue to not care about them).  :-)
I also enjoy You're Under Arrest, KOR, Maison Ikkoku, Rose
of Versailles (need more cels!), Legend of the Galactic
Heroes, Battle Athletes, and lots of stuff that I can't 
afford/find decent cels from (Totoro!).

I go by "Atiya" because, strangely enough, it's my name.  I
sympathize with the people who have their gender mistaken
because of their nickname, but it's even more annoying to 
have that problem with your real name!  For the record, I am FEMALE!  Looking through my gallery, it might not be obvious 
from numbers of male/female character cels, but it's probably 
pretty apparent from some of the cel descriptions I've 
written.  :-)
