Ok, I'm game...

I'm thirty*cough*something*cough*, female, and live in the 
DC area, though I'm originally from PA.  Went to Penn State,
then went to SE Africa with Peace Corps, where I picked up 
my nickname.  

My first experience with anime was of course Speed Racer, 
and my beloved Star Blazers (still know the theme song) - 
and then with my neice watching Totoro 23 times in a row, so
that's not exactly my fave!

Recently I've been re-exposed to anime through a friend of 
mine, who turned me on to this terribly expensive hobby!
(she wasn't content with getting me addicted to the shows -
no! she had to show me her cel collection too!)

So far, I'm very into Sailor Moon but NOT the american 
version!! Mostly Super and Stars.  Also Utena, Shamanic 
Princess (excellent artwork, and I'm still looking for a cel
of Japoro!) and Perfect Blue.  She's told me that next she's
going to start giving me hits (it is a drug after all!) of
Vampire Hunter D, Vampire Princess Miyu and Fishigi Yuugi 
(sp?)...I think she mentioned Kenshin as well.  

Anyone have any suggestions on where I should start after 
that??

Oh yeah, and I'm going to Otakon in August (WOO HOO!)

next!
