I think you may be misreading the previous 
poster's intention.  He/she whoever doesn't seem 
to be giving you a hard time at all, but rather 
just remarking on what looks like a no-win 
situation.  (Which, btw, really stinks. I can 
appreciate that awful feeling in the pit of your 
stomach..)  

However I think you've gotten some decent advice 
here, which would be worth a shot: get in touch 
with Mandarake, check around to see if anyone 
else is interested in buying some of them from 
you (what the heck, share the wealth. It might 
offset some of your expense).  Plus, I sure 
didn't know about the fact that lots of settei 
and so forth are often photocopies...
