for new users, especially if they make it
mandatory that for users under a certain age, say
under 30. Is this discrimatory, yes, but at least
it helps deter and protect sellers from
irresponsible bidders. If say the bidder wins,
but fails to pay, well IMO it's reasonable to
file a claim (after say 14 business days and no
payment is sent) and have evilbay automatically
charge the card the closing auction value (funds
go to the seller) AND tack on a penalty to the
bidder (funds got to evilbay) for allowing the
situation erode to the point these steps were
necessary to begin with! Oh and say if the user
continues to have a history of doing this, say
after the first three occurances, evilbay should
find them again and close their bloody account
for good.
Drac you are damn right when you commented that
kids know how much they can get away with.
Evilbay is far too lenient towards irresponsible
bidders and sellers. Kick the deadbeats where it
hurts them the most, in the wallet! |
