People don't expect responsibility of kids today, 
and so kids don't bother. I was raised to be 
responsible -- EXPECTED to be that way -- and 
thus made sure I was that way.

Nothing will change unless people start expecting 
more from kids. Kids aren't stupid, they know 
exactly what their parents/society will let them 
get away with, and so they take advantage. They 
will continue to be @$$es until society ditches 
the idea of "kids will be kids", and gives them a 
kick in the pants. I hate when people pretend 
kids don't know what they're doing, because in 
MOST cases, they know EXACTLY what they're 
doing. . . They just also know there will be no 
consequences for not doing the right thing.
