Amazingly I didn't want to talk about strange 
things in anime over my summer vacation.

 The Oedipal complex I was talking about (in 
galaxy Express 999) was between the hero(sorry I 
forgot his name), and the female robot lady 
(sorry I forgot her name too). She has the same 
body as his mother yet she is portrayed as his 
love interest and she has the reverse gender of 
the pedophilia, I mentioned earlier (A grown up 
woman in love with a male child). 

 I didn't see an oedipal complex in Metropolis. 
Although I thought it was kind of strange when 
she described kenchi (I think that was his name) 
as her father. I can see how its true but I 
thought the movie was trying to put them together 
as lovers. I think the major thing in Metropolis 
was the sibling rivalry between Rock and Tima. I 
was just using it as an example of one of the 
older creators making a new cartoon (although it 
was based on something old).

I know we have the oedipal complex in alot of our 
stuff. I just saw AI last month.

If the creator of this thread wanted to mention 
homophobia in anime they could also use Ninja 
Scroll, as well as Venus Wars.
