I'm glad someone could offer something 
constructive on the subject other than blanket 
opinions. 

I am not gay, and much like mouse, it is not 
something that really appeals to me. That being 
said, I am also an instructor, and since this 
class is about Japanese Anime and its conveyance 
of culatural issues in Japanese and American 
society, I feel it is my duty to include as many 
male and female archetypes as possible.
