I wasn't sure if anyone has brought this topic up 
in awhile, so I thought I might state some of my 
opinions.

Cel animation is really at end now. I mean almost 
all new anime series and movies are going CG. And 
that's bad news for all us cel collectors. Cel 
animation is just dying out.....and I am sorry to 
have to say it, but CG has taken over. Its 
winning and saves animation companies money. It 
saddens me to know this, in that I love animation 
cels....each cel is so speical and tells it own 
story, do you guys know what I mean? 

For example number one, the aniamtion for X TV 
was excellent. However, in my eyes the CG in the 
TV series can never stand up to the cel animation 
in the X Movie. Each scene in that movie are eye 
boggling! How can such a beautiful thing be taken 
away from us. Its just not fair. Secondly, animes 
that are currently being released are CG and I 
would love to own cels from them, but cannot. We 
all know that one would rather own a real 
production cel than a reproduction. Don't get me 
wrong I would take a reproduction cel, but its 
just not the same to me. 

The way I approuch this problem is to continue to 
collect cels with trading/buying/selling etc. We 
must keep this form of animation of later being 
lost forever. I just wanted to get all that out, 
I feel much better now. 

Please, I would love to hear what you guys think 
about this and what your plans for cel collecting 
are? Will you keep it going? Never buy another 
animation cel etc?
