It seems that you're missing the point.
X/1999 cels have ALWAYS been high priced.
Spending $500 on a test cel is no biggie. It's
not going to drive prices up.
A TEST CEL...Ig...GEE!!!!!! ACTUAL PRODUCTION
MATERIAL!...OMG! Do you think real artists get
their coloring spot on right when they throw it
on their canvas? Not all the time...So...This is
the reason in making test cels...To see if this
is what they want on the final
version...The "Filmed Cel".
No X prices will skyrocket because of the test
cels.. LOL...I just find that funny.
The only reson cels are going to go up in value
that I can see are:
1. Cels aren't being used anymore, and soon
there won't be any left...Except those in private
collections...Where the prices will be insane.
2. If the anime becomes extremely popular, and
the demand for it is high. The test cels being
bought up aren't going to make X cel prices
skyrocket, because the TEST cels themselves are a
rarity. The a TEST Hanken cels...HANKEN.
Highest quality...Actual Hanken cel from X/1999
from any of the one's Nick put up would be well
over $1000 each.
So...All in all Anon...Collect what you want.
And...If you can afford it and you want it...Save
up for it. X cel prices have ALWAYS been high.
And I don't see those prices dropping anytime
soon.
Fan cels is a totally different
story...And...Recently I've been buying a lot of
them...I must say...They're incredible...And
addictive. The people who paint them are
artists...This is just the format they are using
at the time. I will always support fan cel
artists. And...That crap about them copying
other peoples work...LOL...What do you think
artists have been doing ever since art came into
being ;P?
I'm too tired to write more here...I can go on
and on...But...There's facts in what I said up
there...No need to get into an all out war for
your plight anon...Cause test cels are there and
are being sold for their prices...X cels aren't
dropping or going up as a whole in
pricing...And...One day...They'll be all gone. |
