while i think that you have a great point on the 
price of cels skyrocketing, i must say that i 
would be thrilled to own an X Test Cel.  i 
ordered one of the line hanken cels, but that's 
only because i just spent a ton of money on other 
cels.  but if i had the extra money, i would have 
tried to get an order in for one of the painted 
ones, because they're gorgeous.

whether they were run through the camera or not 
has nothing to do with why i'd buy a cel.  lord 
knows i have my share of those saiyuki repros 
laying around :).  with cels converting to cg 
nowadays, test cels even for series with cels are 
becoming more acceptable to the market.  i can't 
afford to buy a real X cel, so i would jump on 
the chance to own a test cel.  and that doesn't 
make me any less of a cel collector, and i 
shouldn't have to feel like i'm not as good as 
people who own actual X production cels.
