Oh GOD I hate making offers on cels. Whenever 
there's a cel I want up for grabs with the 'make 
an offer' title, I almost always participate.  
But most of the time I end up paying more for a 
cel that I normally would have.  I sometimes put 
cels up for offers, but its not really to get the 
highest dollar amt.  The reason I do that is 
because multiple people might want the cel.  I 
put it up for offers just to see who comes out of 
the woodwork, or to make it fair.  It's cheaper 
than Ebay I guess.  If I dont get any responses I 
know there's not a lot of people interested, so 
I'll put a price on the cel, or just keep it.  
But yes, Id almost always rather see the cel put 
up for a real silent auction, or on Ebay.  Offer 
periods are always stressful due to the fact you 
dont hear from the seller for days or weeks. You 
also dont know who you're up against...or..even 
worse...  Let's say the seller tells you, "Oh, 
someone offered 50$ more than you, do you want to 
beat them?"  How do you know if they're really 
telling the truth, eh?  BTW, this is a 
hypothetical, not accusing anyone.  Just a 
though, and a reason I dont like offers.  ~_~  
But, there will always be offer peiods, so 
there's no use in crying over spilled milk.
