i usually list things on eBay because i don't 
have the time to go around to every fan of that 
character and ask them for offers. it makes me 
feel like a beggar when i don't really even need 
money that badly. a lot of people have access to 
auctions, so if they are a fan they can bid on 
the auction. plus i've gotten my start collecting 
cels of certain anime that i wouldn't have 
otherwise if it hadn't been for auctions. i don't 
really care if i make a profit off of selling 
them on auction, because usually i don't. i just 
want to know that some fan got them because they 
wanted them.

i guess that the whole auction thing has gotten 
out of hand lately, with people bidding at the 
last couple seconds just to be able to get a hand 
in and not have the price jacked up because they 
had bid earlier than that. i don't really feel 
good about cels that i acquire that way; i know 
that it's fair according to the bidding system, 
but it makes me feel like a cheater. but i 
definately would not go complaining in a blaze of 
fire to the high bidder if i lost...
