SOrry for the possible double post.
I think that when some people see these large
collections they feel bad that they don't have
such a great collection of cel's. They feel
aweful that they don't have the money to throw
into such an expensive hobby. Cel collecting
isn't like other type of collecting. People who
collect old chairs, or old stuffed animals can
find lucky finds for like 10 cents on stuff that
costs 100 dollars. In cel collecting the poeple
who sell them usually know what they are worth.
Since they are so ashamed that they are unable to
amass collections like other people they
immediatly set up a defense mechanism that
involves jelousy and anger. They lash out so
that they don't feel bad about their situation
and themselves. If cel collecting was fair,
everyone would get their dream cel's and we would
all be happy. I have a small collection and i
marvel at other peoples, instead of becoming
jeleous i realize that they just have more money
then me, or got into collecting before i did.
Either way i can't change the situation, i can
only try to save more money and earn more if i
want to try and compete with those other
collectors. I feel good for what i have on my
limited budget of 800 dollars a month. I save my
money and buy little cel's that make me happy.
SUre i would love a gogeta, or an Ashitaka, or
even a vampire hunter d bloodlust cel of d
himself, but right now those are out of my
reach. SO instead of getting angry i say those
people should get motivated. INstead of using
their energy to right ridiculous emails they
should instead extend that frustration towards
getting a higher paying job, or saving there
money blah, blah, blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah . . .
