I didn't run an auction myself since a long time 
but if I remember, you just cancel the first bid 
and it goes to the second one. (Which is even to 
the advantage of the seller on Yahoo as it's the 
max bid of the second bidder that will count and 
not the bid just above the 3rd bidder)
