Okay, I promised myself this was one
bandwagon I was not going to jump on but I'm
whipping out a banjo and hitching a ride.
Like many of you, THIS GUY REALLY GETS
ME. I know I haven't been posting about it, but
believe me I've been thinking about it. Aside
from the fact that it might get you kicked off
eBay yourself and that it's morally dubious, I'd
be "bidding" on his "cels" too. I'm not really
willing to accept that he's an innocent who got
tricked by someone else - methinks he doth
protest too much. But sinking to his level won't
help either. (A side note - it is actually possible
though probably not likely - this guy could be a
genuine sociopath.)
The solution here has to come from eBay.
They have to be the mighty hand of justice
here. Personally, I think you folks have MORE
than enough evidence to prove that he does
not have the cels, or has only (rather poor) fan
art copies.
SO HERE'S my suggestion - someone who's
been involved in this for a while should email
eBay (yes I know this has been done before).
Try to be as level-headed as possible and lay
out everything that's happened so far,
including your attempts to get him off eBay. He
is flaunting the fact that he had other names
under which he got a bad reputation. In fact, if
enough people are willing, I think it might be a
good idea to have a list of names of folks here
who agree that he's a scammer as a sort of
petition. Even suggest that they involve real
legal authorities, since fraud is very definitely
against the law.
What do you all think about that? We really
ought to take care of this problem once and for
all. If no one else has time, if someone gives
me all the details, I will PERSONALLY bug
eBay (diplomatically of course) to get this guy
GONE.
Sorry for the long post but I am very opposed
to the kind of activities that this - AHEM -
gentleman is up to.
