It's like watching one of those horror films,
where the monster refuses to die.
What will it take to stop this boy? Hmm, he left
an address and the bottom of his page, this
should make the task that much easier. (Picks up
whip and heads for car).
Seriously, when I looked at the ebay thing, I
nearly fell off my chair laughing. Give him
points for determination, but zero for honesty.
He might own some of those cels, but with his
track record, you'd have to be insane to send
money to him.
Does anyone else think it's hilarious that he
claims he doesn't know what the Achika and
Nausicaa cels are, when just a week ago, he tried
to hawk them out on ebay. (And comeon, they have
to be some of the most popular anime out there --
he identifies the Vampire Hunter D, but he
doesn't know Nausicaa or Tenchi?)
Or that, even though he can't identify them, he
still knows that they are worth a lot of money --
wait a second, that might be the truth. :)
He has to be one of the worst con artists I've
ever seen.
Interesting that he's not claiming the Sailor
Moon cels. Maybe he's realized that it's not wise
to use images with other people's website
addresses written all over them.
Well, if you want to give him the benefit of the
doubt, since he "has" a scanner, we could ask him
to show us the backs of these cels for proof of
ownership. |
