My gallery is moving AGAIN!!!!!!

1) How long have you been collecting cels?
Almost 2 years now.

2) How much do you spend on cels per month? (Average)
It started at 10. Then it went to 40. Now it's up around 200!
ARGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
Will someone please smack me over the head really really hard?

3) What is your favorite cel? (Post pic)
Hard to say, probably my Battousai vs Gentatsu cel.
IMO it's the best scene in the whole movie.
Others that come close:
Greenish bluish OVA Lina looking magical and pissed.
Juubei Chan Henshin Bank
Super long pan of Zel and Lina
Puru2 and Juudo Ashita

4) Assuming you buy cels off the internet - what is your
   favorite site to buy them from (not necessarily where
   you buy cels most regularly)?
Anime-Cel.com took alot of my money. So did Anime Paradise. So did Asylum. Yann took a bit, as did Bonbee.
I've dropped boatloads at Anime Chaos.

5a) Do you concentrate on specific characters or series or
    both?
==============
Depends. With Slayers, I definately go for nice Lina cels, although I couldn't resist a $2 cel of Noonsa.
I generally go after specific characters, but sometimes I'm interested in getting just about every single character in the whole series!
((pocket book screams in agony))

 b) If you collect for a series, do you go through the
    trouble of finding at least one cel per character?
===========
Kinda sorta. For GW I've traditionally gone after Zechs and Noin. It's hard finding nice cels of Noin. The more badass a character is, the harder to find cels of them! ARGH!!!

6) Have you ever purchased a cel from EBay or Yahoo or some
   other auction site?
===========
Definately. You may think I'm lying, but I've found bargain cels on ebay.

7) Do you have family members who also appreciate cels?
===========
Sort of. They don't quite understand it but they're glad it
floats my boat.

8) Do you have friends who appreciate cels?
===========
One of my good friends is a hanken junkie.

9) In the space of this form box (i.e. the entire message
   cannot force scrolling either vertically or horizontally
   in the reply text box), please explain WHY you think
   cels are so addicting - imagine you're trying to explain
   to someone why they're so great.

Because there is crack in the paint. Somehow, the enamel
vehicle of the paint has given the crack a new high and
texture ONLY available from anime cels.
No, sniffing jars of Toei brand Cel Paints doesn't cut it
either.

I like anime alot, and I have always thought of it as art in
motion.
Sometimes I would pause and stare at a shot I found
paticularly nice for a while. For some reason, other anime
goods like pencil boards and such didn't really appeal to
me.
I knew how cels were so poorly treated and I felt like
giving them a home where they'd be loved and cherished.
Until recently, cels were cheaper than my other hobbies.
I was into old video games(Turbo Graphix 16) and some of
games were spiraling out of control. I suppose I was nuts
for spending $250 on a brand new copy of Sapphire(of course
I sold it for 2x that and started my cels habit.)
I got lucky and found a cel from a scene I really wanted...Then the bug to a huge big ole honkin' bite.

Happy collecting and stuff!
