1) How long have you been collecting cels?

That's actually not an easy question to answer. I've been
concentrating on anime cels now for oh, 18 months, two years,
something like that, but I've been collecting cels in general
much longer - I think I bought my first one about 8 years
ago.

2) How much do you spend on cels per month? (Average)

Uh, decline to state :-). 

3) What is your favorite cel? (Post pic)

I can never pick just one favorite. I have a small pool of
favorites that I would not trade or sell for love nor money.
I've posted one below :-).

4) Assuming you buy cels off the internet - what is your
favorite site to buy them from (not necessarily where
you buy cels most regularly)?

This is another one I really can't answer because I really
don't have one favorite. Almost all the dealers and private
collectors I've dealt with have been great. So I'll say that
my favorite is whoever sold me my last Neflite cel (or sells
me my next one! :-).

5a) Do you concentrate on specific characters or series or
both?

Yes. 

b) If you collect for a series, do you go through the 
trouble of finding at least one cel per character?

Only if I like the characters. I have the collecting gene
bad, so I've learned the folly and heartache that comes when
I try to be a completist. 

6) Have you ever purchased a cel from EBay or Yahoo or some
other auction site?

Yes, but far less than in the past, because these days, cels
I like are going up beyond what I think they're worth. 

7) Do you have family members who also appreciate cels?

Surprisingly, yes. My brother-in-law is very into Disneyana,
so he collects Disney cels himself. He also watches anime to
some extent, so he appreciates my collection.

And my husband saw my cels and liked them so much, he started
collecting some himself :-).

8) Do you have friends who appreciate cels?

Yes and no. Maybe not to the extent that I do, but some 
friends admire the artwork.

9) In the space of this form box (i.e. the entire message
cannot force scrolling either vertically or horizontally
in the reply text box), please explain WHY you think 
cels are so addicting - imagine you're trying to explain
to someone why they're so great. 

When I try to explain it to people, I simply say I like the
art, and I like owning a piece of the show. They can't really
argue with that.

Then again, I did mention I have the collecting gene bad, so
cels are only one of my collections, and the one that takes 
up the least amount of storage space :-). After they see
the action figures and dolls, the cels seem relatively 
normal :-).
