1) How long have you been collecting cels?
Somewhere between 2-3 years. The start point is sort of
nebulous

2) How much do you spend on cels per month? (Average)
Usually way too much for a graduate student's budget
to cover

3) What is your favorite cel? (Post pic)
I have too many favorites. This one is just the newest one
to be added to the list.

4) Assuming you buy cels off the internet - what is your
favorite site to buy them from (not necessarily where
you buy cels most regularly)?
I seem to do the most with Nick at Parallax. I usually can
find some interesting things in his misc section. But I
like all the private and commercial dealers I use (which
is quite a number of them).

5a) Do you concentrate on specific characters or series or
both?
Take a look at my gallery. I focus alot on Lina Inverse, but
I collect from just about every series I like and even a few
that I do not particularly love (I collect for the style or
the moment, not for the general plot in these series).

b) If you collect for a series, do you go through the
trouble of finding at least one cel per character?
Mostly no. I usually just collect the characters I like and
leave the rest to the other collectors.

6) Have you ever purchased a cel from EBay or Yahoo or some
other auction site?
Yep, I have used the evil empire of Ebay before to both
sell and buy cels. Never have used Yahoo.

7) Do you have family members who also appreciate cels?
My parents collect art, so while they really do not understand
why one series is better than another, they understand the
good and bad quality cels, the significance of production
process, and how insanely big my collectioh has gotten. They
also are the ones who frame my cels for me, when I feel the
need to display the cels.

8) Do you have friends who appreciate cels?
Not really. While they appreciate the cels, they cannot
understand why I am paying so much for a piece of painted
acetate. This does apply to on-line cel collectors.

9) In the space of this form box (i.e. the entire message
cannot force scrolling either vertically or horizontally
in the reply text box), please explain WHY you think
cels are so addicting - imagine you're trying to explain
to someone why they're so great.
They is no one image that can represent every component of
a character. So you just have to keep collecting more and
more cels until you personally reach a satisfaction point
where what you have represents sufficiently the character
you are interested in. It also does not help that new series
keep coming out that you want to collect cels from.
