Yes, I collected Baseball Cards and comics for
most of my life. However, about two years ago I
decided that my hobbies were taking up entirely
too much space, so I sold most of my cards and
comics. The only comic books I still own are
Sandman #8(First Death), Hulk #181(First
Wolverine), and Giant Size X-Men #1(First New X-
Men Team).
The only cards that I still have, and still
actively collect, are my Roger Clemens cards. I
am a diehard Red Sox fan and grew up wanting to
be a pitcher like him (never happened). I still
collect his cards and so far, here's the tally...
Over 500 cards of him (no doubles)
20 Magazine covers
7 starting lineup figures
Four autographs (one card, one ball, two photos)
One pristine copy of Roger Clemens MVP Baseball
for the NES (with box)
And various pins, mugs, glasses, books, bobble-
head dolls, and coins.
As for selling the set, never in a million years.
I plan on giving all these cards to my son so he
can throw them away someday. LOL! The three cards
pictured below are my favorites so far. The
signed card I was lucky enough to pull from a box
that a friend bought for my birthday this year. |
