Robots, spaceships, superheroes, japanese toys.... (Fri Jun 6 17:26:05 2003 )

I was into import Japanese toys before cels, and I
bounce back and forth between the two hobbies now.
I hope to have some pictures of my collection
after I move and set it all up.

I collect robots ranging from super-nice diecasts
called the "Soul of Chogokin" collection
(Mazinger, Great Mazinger, Combattler-V,
Grendizer, Daikumaryu Gaiking, Aphrodite A, Venus
A, etc.) down to Banpresto-level versions of the
same characters. I also have several diecast
Valkyries from several companies. And I collect
American robots like Robby, the Lost in Space
Robot, Ding-A-Ling robots, and others.

I'm a big spaceship nut and have all sorts of
weird examples. My biggest/best/most valuable are
a huge, detailed, electronic Yamato and a diecast,
electronic Arcadia. I also have a large rendition
of the Okita-Kan that is a STUPIDLY rare bathtub
toy (though it looks great!). All three are about
14" long. Plus I have the most gorgeous diecast
GodPhoenix from Gatchaman you will ever see.

I have a very large Microman collection from the
late 90's. And I have tons of the Mobile Suit in
Action Gundams.

I also collected most of the Marvel superheroes
line of busts and statues from Bowen Designs. My
most prized superhero item, however, is a
life-size prop of Green Lantern's power battery
and ring (Hal Jordan edition) that really lights
up! ^_^

(I've got tons more junk, too. Transformers,
vintage toys, PVC's, etc.)

I never really wonder why I'm poor... ;-D
