I'm surprised you don't have Adam Warren's BGC 
GRAN MAL comics! Have you seen the art? It's 
quite nice. Sonoda even told Warren he was doing 
a good job by staying true to the characters and 
overall designs. I would completely agree 
especially when you take the time to compare how 
much AIC butchered 2040. Just b/c anime 
production partly due to budgeting has changed 
since the late 80s, doesn't mean the character 
designs or the quality of the animation itself 
needs to become subpar.
