I definitely have that collector gene!!

I collect My Little Pony toys, though that's on 
hold now and I've even been selling many to pay 
for cels :]  Have some other 80s themed toys as 
well, care bears, strawberry shortcake, etc.

Years ago I collected Beanies so I still have 
hundreds and hundreds of those, though many are 
in storage.

I have a small collection of baby harp seal 
stuffed toys, and would like to get more seal 
items but that has been on hold for awhile to. 
(lack of space and money)

And I buy manga and anime merchandise that I 
like.  No real 'collection', just various stuff 
from series I like; figures, books, letter sets, 
cards, etc.

I still live at home so all this stuff is packed 
into my bedroom O_O
