What you referenced is not caselaw, meaning there
is no legal precedence. And even though in your
situation you were fortunate to have the site
removed since you were the creator of the images
and text, I still seriously doubt companies that
own the licensing rights to DragonBall will
actually hunt down this individual. Do you really
think it's worth their time to incur legal
expenses to enforce this? And say they do attempt
to prosecute this, do you think the creator of
the website has the monetary means to pay the
company? Be realistic, companies do not care
about petty websites like this one b/c it’s not
worth their time.
Lastly, the bottomline is, if you put it on the
net, you DO risk people copying your work, either
take
abundant precautions or abstain from posting on
the web entirely.
