If the possibility of someone taking the images
of your cels from your online gallery concerns
you, they why risk it by having an online
gallery? I am all for sharing in public and I do
so with people I trust and respect. But when you
put you anything in the web, you literally are
placing the images of your hard-earned treasures
into a lawless space. You may not like it, but
you’ve accepted that risk.

I won’t touch any presumptions regarding
intellectual copyrights and/or international
copyright law. But I will say this, many of us
are equally guilty of copying images from other
people’s galleries, the difference is, most of us
do not compile them and then repost them. At the
very least this individual is willing to remove
the images if you contact them, be thankful for
that much cooperation. They do not have to, nor
are they obligated to hunt down each and every
single owner at the time they copied the image
and request permission. If they do so, great, but
it's a courtesy, not a written or enforcable law.
And as for the ISP removing their gallery and/or
ending their service -you can dream- it’s not
likely. Why? Maybe b/c this person is not selling
anything; afterall the compiler of the images is
not making any profit whatsoever by reposting
images. The ISP usually could careless. As far as
they are concerned, there is little difference
from what this person is doing anymore so than
someone creating a homepage of links and images
taken from the web.

Lastly, if you still don’t feel safe even after
adding watermarks, shrinking the resolution and
size of your images, then strongly reconsider
sharing a gallery online. This is precisely why
people -myself included- do not create one. Keep
in mind, even if you add html codes to preventing
copying of images like on RS, this is temporary
at best and there are numerous ways to circumvent
this for those who are willing to do the work.
