I like Japanese anime because they are less 
uptight in some ways (tho not others).  They are 
less uptight about innoncent nudity of 
children .. think crayon shin chan.. while for 
the US trunks are digitally drawn onto Goku due 
to paedophilic connotations & other attitudes 
regarding children seeing nudity.

Japanese animation i think lacks coloured 
characters, they seem to be fine with characters 
who are a multitude of paleness & have rainbow 
pallettes of hair but black characters are 
generally quite rare tho i think this has changed.

I also really dislike series which 'reset' 
themselves every episode whereby there is no 
continuity & things that happened previously are 
forgotten!!  I do like Simpsons cos i thinkt hat 
was quite pioneering by having events like ned 
flanders wife die & i thot she was gonna 
magically appear fine & dandy next episode.. lol  
American series usually follow this template and 
have the goodies vs the baddies in which the good 
always wins & the baddies scarper.  Alot of 
japanese stuff is like this too but at least 
there are many series where there is real plot 
development.

Having dissed alot of western animation i have to 
say that i did like Dungeons & Dragons... i just 
realised that was done in association with 
Toei!!  Maybe that is why.. lol

Don't get me started on the Cartoon network own 
brand stuff... they are all just clones of each 
other with a new animal heading each show!
