I use EMS because it is easily trackable, not 
because it is cheap.  If they stop providing a 
trackable form of postage to Europe, then I will 
stop sending packages to Europe.  I have had the 
experience of people trying to fleece me because 
the package never "arrived" when in fact it did.  
I will also add that I require the same of 
packages sent domestically.  Basically, it is 
about securing a means of "proof" that an item 
was mailed and delivered.
