Hi,
having had a few bad recent experiences, I do
like the tracking number at least to verify a)
the pkg was sent and b) where it has landed.
Nothing beats EMS (which is expensive, but IMHO
well worth it).
I recently had a similar situation where the cel
was shipped and I heard nothing for 4 weeks.
Luckily the seller was very nice and got their
post office to track down the priority mail
number. Turns out the cel had been sitting in my
local post office for 3 weeks. Apparently, I
recieved two oversize packages on the same day:
A summer college course catalog and a large,
insured priority package. The postal person in
their infinite wisdom left me one pick up slip
for the catalog figuring they'd give me the other
package when I picked up the catalog (I was
speechless). Having no interest in the
catalog...the cel languished at the bottom of a
cabinet for 3 weeks.
Depending how the package was shipped, you may
have to wait 30-60 days to claim insurance.
On the plus side, I figured out in the three
weeks that I would far rather have the cel then
the insurance money so when I finally reclaimed
it from the post office I was truly grateful.
The cel was gorgeous and I made a mental note to
ALWAYS have a tracking number (and to pick up all
delivery slips--just in case). |
