I always use it and when I've checked it always 
tells me when the package was shipped as well as 
delivered.
  Came in handy once when my local post office 
decided to hold the darn thing for several days 
without shipping it!! I was at least able to tell 
the buyer.."see, it says package accepted on ..." 
I don't know why they took so long to send it??
