Nobody said it was easy or it could be done over
the phone. I've lived in Japan most of my life
and have friends in the industry who produce
mangas and dj's and it's not that difficult if
you know what you're doing and have connections,
although very time consuming. It took one of my
friends almost 2 month to get permission from
TOEI. I thought she was going to go crazy.
And anyone who thinks they can just get
permission by sending a few e-mails or making a
few phone calls should think again. I mean how
rude and disrespectfull is that to the company to
presume that you can just pick up the phone and
get whatever you want. If anything the companies
will get offended by you and completly close
their doors. When my friends tried to get
permission they had to set up meetings, get
intouch with creators, head animators.... this
isn't just oh I'm going to skip my little happy
ass over to TOEI knock on their door and just ask
them to sign me a little paper. It takes work to
get those contracts and you really do have to
have some serious connections in the industry.
But if you work in the industry like my friends
and forkys do then you should have enough
connections to get the contracts as well.
Personally myself I do not have the connections,
nor do I work in the industry. LOL - I'd be
happy if I could draw a decent stick figure.
