For Mouse-
The link to the site is:
www.geocities.com/forkysanime

I have several fancels from them and they do do
quality work. They are not out of business, they
are just catching up on commission work.

They started showing the screencaps their fancels
are from. They started doing this in response to
several production collectors accusing them of
stealing cels from their galleries. They have art
books to scan from and DVD's to screencap from.
Most of their fancels were in their personal
collection and they just run out of room and
clear out cels, just like a production cel
collector runs out of room or loses fancy in a
cel. Fancel painting is not cheap. ^__^()

Also, they do have written permission from
several Studios in Japan to paint fancels in a
limited number of any given screencap,
illustration, etc... You don't see them painting
one and then mass producing the same cel to sell
over and over again. Unpunched acetate also makes
it hard to pass it off as a production cel. The
artist signature makes it hard too. In other
words they create the cel in a way that it can't
be cropped or punched with an animation punch
without damaging the painted cel image area.

I don't want to get into a huge debate over this,
but from someone who has bought and dealt with
them several times before, I am very pleased.
They work quickly and will fix any problems
regarding a cel they have painted.. They do cel
repair too. So far they have fixed several of my
production cels with paint and line loss. I am
just overall very happy with their cels. At least
ask for a better scan of their work or buy
something! You might be very suprised to find out
their work is worth the money. I know I was.
