I would not worry one tiny bit about some pinhead
calling you pretentious.  Just because they don't
have a good enough grasp of the language to
realize that a college professor IS a sensei, and
would be so addressed in Japan regardless of their
nationality, doesn't mean you should have to feel bad.

Well, okay, you can pity them a bit, if you like.
 *grin*  It's always fun to openly pity the
offensively feeble.
