A keychain set is not priceless nor
irreplaceable, and I believe that you could do
well to take things into perspective and not
start an ugly dispute on a public forum. Celga
deals with tons of requests on a daily basis, and
it's difficult to keep track and records of very
old auctions (particularly when you do not have
the URL's any more). If this was a large
investment of money, then you should have been
responsible enough to keep your e-mails from
Celga (at the very least) or keep some records;
and let this be a lesson to you. Even now, you
should definitely comb through your e-mails and
records for the Celga invoice or your original
request (or Celga's reply to your request).
I may admit that Celga is not famous for having
the best or quickest customer service. However,
what will work best for you is to not over-react
and deal with them politely but persistently.
You will get results 99.9% of the time. I do not
know how your first inquiry e-mail was written,
but if you reacted then as you have done on this
board, the chances are that the Celga
representative will not respond favorably. Did
he go over the line? Maybe, but he's human too
and under constant pressure and you may have
caught him at a bad time and instigated him in an
unwise fashion. Nevertheless, no one here should
entirely be at fault since it's a upsetting
situation to begin with... instead, everyone
should learn to calm down and act more
constructively towards a solution.
If you're new then read my own unfortunate story. Don't
think I'm trying to steal your thunder, but I
believe there are many folks out there who are
much worse off than you but have learned to
control their emotions. Even though I've lost
well over a $1000 in irreplaceable cels, I never
took my frustrations out on the dealer. Even
though I've been laid off for 10+ months now and
unable to find full-time work (I don't think that
you could be any worse off than that), I never
broke down and began lashing out at anyone
uselessly.
Instead, I did my hardest job to resolve the
situation, no matter how much time and effort it
takes. And even when it now appears to be a
hopeless case, I'm not going to take things out
in an uncivil fashion.
Unfortunate and freakish incidents always happens
in life from time to time. Do try your best and
every effort to solve and resolve this situation
constructively, and you may get results. But
even if ultimately things are out of your
control, you should chalk it up to one of life's
minor tragedies. No one is immune to them.
[If you're curious, read my next post and learn
about what I had to deal with for the past 3
months. A month isn't anything to me when I'm
determined.] |
